Director of the SEED School
Tracy joined the BRIT staff in 2010 after completing 30 years as a classroom teacher, department chair, mentor, curriculum writer, and professional learning community leader. She helped oversee the creation of an outdoor learning center, developed an elementary after-school enrichment program, and assisted in the development of a first generation college program for underserved freshman. She has served on committees for a National Blue Ribbon School, TEA to address science TEKS, and trained teachers through Region XI for the Biology End of Course Exam. Tracy’s experiences throughout her career in public education made it an easy transition as an Education Specialist creating professional development opportunities for area teachers. She understands the challenges facing today’s educators in the classroom and works to create professional development opportunities that meet the needs of teachers in the science classroom.
