Laura joined BRIT in 2013 bringing with her 20 plus years of project management experience and a Masters in Library Science focusing on adult programming.  Laura has experience in both the non-profit and for profit worlds having worked for organizations such as Starbucks Coffee, The Dallas Theater Center and Juli Original Designs prior to receiving her Master’s degree.  After receiving her MLS Laura was employed by Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio where she served as Programming and Preservation Librarian and The University of North Texas, where she served as Conference Organizer for the iConference 2013.

Currently, Laura is responsible for the adult education department at BRIT which includes the exhibit program, the BRIT Reads Book Club and the GROW Adult Education classes. She designs meaningful and engaging events, exhibits and classes and tells anyone that will listen that she has the best job in the world.
