Jared Williams
Youth Education Manager
All students should be introduced to opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, or STEM. Inspired by this idea, Jared Williams embraces executive leadership opportunities towards advancing STEM equity and access for all youth. Currently, he serves as the Youth Education Manager at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas and leads the Green Revolution Initiative – that provides environmental STEM opportunities that inspire the natural curiosities in all youth. His sights in this leadership role are focused on developing innovative programming at the forefront of STEM education for youth to experience, especially those from groups historically underrepresented in these fields.
He enters this position after serving in various leadership positions and after having attained a B.S. in Biotechnology from Fort Valley State University, M.S. in Environmental Science from Texas Christian University, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science & Science Education from the University of North Texas.
Outside of the countless hours spent shaping tomorrow’s great thinkers, Jared dedicates the rest of his time enjoying family and friends, honing his skills as a pianist and drummer, embracing new adventures abroad, while keeping a great read nearby to fuel his drive for learning.
