Kat Goldin

School Program Manager & Special Collection Librarian

B.A. in Education, Langston University
M.A. Analytical Teaching, Texas Wesleyan University
M.S. Library Information Media Sciences, Texas Woman's University

Kat joined BRIT in 2017 bringing with her 20 plus years of formal education and two Masters degrees, one in Analytical Thinking-English from Texas Wesleyan and second in Library Information Media Science from Texas Women’s University. Both Masters focused on experiential leaning and inquiry.

She has been an educator in public schools and universities in classrooms and as an educational support role in the Library or Learning Commons. After earning her MLS, Kat strived to be a leader within the literacy community and does so by presenting at regional and state-wide conferences.  Her greatest interest is in Project-Based-Learning and sharing literacy with others.

It is an exciting time at BRIT! Presently, Kat’s work focuses on collaborating with other informal educators to create high-caliber, meaningful, learning experiences for school-aged students and professional developmental opportunities for educators. Additionally, she continues sharing her passion of science literacy, as she makes acquisitions for the Teacher Resource Center and the Burk Children’s Library at BRIT.

Kat invites everyone to, “Come and Grow with us!”
